Heiko Jacobsen is born in Sillerup, Germany. He studied chemistry at the universities of Constance, Germany and Calgary, Canada, where currently he is working towards a Ph.D. His general interest lies in the field of chemical bonding. Starting out with Compton spectroscopy to investigate electron momentum distributions, he now uses Density Functional Theory to elucidate the salient features of multiple bonding.
